Today was a pretty long day at the end of a pretty long week.
We both had a lot of meetings today, and the kids were pretty impatient and restless. My wife was able to take the kids outside for a little while, which was good for everyone.
By the end of the day we were all completely exhausted and we decided that takeout was probably safe even though we had some misgivings. We were pretty careful about the containers and stuff like that.
My mother asked if the kids would like to light Shabbat candles with her over FaceTime, and we were able to convince them to do it. So we set up some candles, and we got the iPad out, and we lit candles together. It was a nice way to end a difficult week.
